Carnival Cruise Lines

In need of a pampering holiday! Or an exploring holiday with the family? Or, better still, just a simple, de-stressing time? The answer lies in a cruise. In fact, you get all the benefits of a land holiday without the stress of noise and pollution. The Carnival Cruise Lines was founded in 1972 by Ted Arison. Now it is a division of Carnival Corporation & plc, which owns many cruise brands.

Going on a Carnival Cruise Lines cruise is, in a word, fun. All the ships are known as The Fun Ships. The decor is a la Las Vegas as well as the entertainment devised for the guests. There are many activities planned for those who go on a CCL cruise. A CCL liner is easily distinguishable by its funnel which is in the shape of a whale’s tail and is painted red, white and blue.

Fun Ship Freddy is the mascot for Carnival. The primary destinations for these cruise ships are the Bahamas and the Caribbean, though they also sail to Alaska, Bermuda, Canada and New England, Europe, South America, Mexico, Panama Canal, among other places.

There is one cruise called the Cruise to Nowhere, which promises to be a real adventure cruise. Carnival Dream, which is the latest ship will be launched later this year around fall. Port Canaveral in Florida is where she is going to be based. Some of the ships and their itineraries are:

• Holiday – Mobile, AL to the Western Caribbean
• Ecstasy – Galveston, TX to the Western Caribbean
• Sensation – Port Canaveral, FL to the Bahamas
• Imagination – Miami, FL to the Western or Eastern Caribbean
• Carnival Triumph – Miami, FL to the Caribbean
• Carnival Glory – Port Canaveral, FL to the Eastern or Western Caribbean
• Carnival Liberty – they have various itineraries, including Dover, UK to Europe, and Miami, FL to the Caribbean
• Carnival Freedom – this ship also offers various itineraries including Rome to the Mediterranean and Fort Lauderdale, FL to the Caribbean
• Carnival Legend – Tampa, FL to the Western Caribbean

• Carnival Valour – Miami, FL to the Eastern or Western Caribbean
• Carnival Splendour – this cruise offers a variety of itineraries including Dover, UK to northern Europe, Rome to the Mediterranean, Fort Lauderdale, FL to the Caribbean and Los Angeles or Long Beach, CA to the Mexican Riviera.

The Carnival cruises are eminently affordable - as cruises from florida go! A three-day cruise from Miami, FL to the Bahamas would be a fun way to relax. There would be a two-day stop at Nassau, Bahamas. Shore excursion are planned to the Ardastra gardens, Atlantis Aqua venture, Atlantis Dolphin Cay, Blackbeard’s beach Break, Blackbeard’s Deluxe with Stingrays, and Atlantis Dolphin Shallow and Aqua venture.

You can go on these excursions, or you may choose to just stay on the beach and relax. A cruise is a wonderful way of seeing all those places that you would normally not be able to. The cabins are all beautifully appointed and the dining experience is great.
